The Inkster Partnership for a Healthier Community (IPHC) addresses health disparities and the Social Determinants of Health within Inkster by providing and promoting healthy living options to the residents of Inkster; empowering residents through the receipt of information and resources to the community at large. Prevention issues include but are not limited to health and wellness concerns; including reducing alcohol, tobacco, and illicit drug use and prescription drug abuse, particularly among youth, and violence and suicide prevention.

  • Mission:  To improve and develop  safe, healthy, educated neighbor-hoods through community action and resources

  • Vision:  I-HEAL – Inkster - Healthy, Equal and Living

Functions:  To bring awareness regarding health disparities and varying prevention needs to the Inkster community and those involved in managing this epidemic.  Understanding that health is impacted by various factors such as where you live, play and work; primarily those social, economic and environmental conditions.  This will be done by increasing community awareness of health workshops, seminars, activities and other community based programs, training and interventions.
